After a couple of stands for the rear speakers on my Boston Soundwave XS kit, and cable to wire them up, the current stuff I have just isn't suitable (it's a solid piece of copper instead of strands and nearly impossible to get them to fit) Any suggestions for either? Stands need to be as slim as possible as they will ideally be behind the sofa so can't take up too much room |

Given this is about hifi, what's your budget for each? You can spend seriously crazy money if you want to... |

QED Silver Anniversary is great cable, not the cheapest but great cable. For stands you can go wallmount Clicky or thin conventional stands clicky (providing you can get mounts for the soundwaves |

Reasonable money, but anything is possible ![]() Speakers, ideally under £1/m as I rarely use the rear speakers and can get some bog standard Belkin stuff for less than that Stands... I don't know, £50 max-ish I think (going to Ikea tonight so will have a look there) Sas... I can't wallmount (the Soundwaves come with the brackets in the box for straight/corner mounting but it's a rented place and SWMBO has denied me ![]() |

How long runs do you need? If you're handy with a soldering iron there are lots of10m runs of speaker cable on Ebay for less than £10, like these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10m-Loudspeak ... 5ad2664c21 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BELKIN-PURE-A ... 2eb1de9a5e |

Speaker cable: 1. What power? 2. What impedence? 3. How many meters? 4. Is it bi or tri wired? If you rarely go over 10Watts into 8Ohms at 3 meters, then frankly a bit of cat5 is hard to beat - especially if it's tri-wired. Seriously. *waits to be laughed at* |
