So the Westcountry had the final stage of the switchover today, and we have lost several channels (62 remaining), including FilmFour.
Anyone know why?

I'd do a rescan, they've probably moved the transponders around.

Yeah, have you retuned it? That's what all the advice was before hand. We didn't lose any, IIRC.

We've re-tuned them several times now to no avail. And Prof, we didn't really have a choice this morning 'cos all the channels had gone. Ah well, will see if it improves, no doubt someone, somewhere, FUBAR'd it.

I assume you've asked your mates? If it's not just you then don't worry about it, they'll sort it soon. If it's just you ... then I can't help I'm afraid!

Yeah, I just meant that they'd been banging on about retuning the box for ages before we switched. That might also be a possibility! Have you asked the neighbours?

I'll take a look when I get home, do you get your signal from Four Lanes? Only just re-tuned a couple days ago, so I haven't really looked as I don't watch much TV via an aerial or my minidish these days

We get ours from Redruth way, so most likely yes.

Contacted Freeview, they said that it's a "temporary" issue with the Redruth transmitter that will be fixed on the 30th of September.

Good that they're making it a priority then!

I'll bet the broadcasters aren't happy!
I wonder if they know about it? They might lean on the right people so it was fixed sooner if they knew.

Bugger that, you'd think that given how long the government has been bleating at US that we need to be ready for the switchover, and now THEY [LIFTED] it up!?
