I've just read this article by Syl Arena about the features he'd like to see on Canon flashes. I thought it made interesting reading, not just from the point of view of a Canon shooter, but as a general "what features should a good flash have" guide. Not that I agree with all of his points, but then I'm a n00b with flashes, generally.
