Now I know why the board's been so quiet; all you lucky folks are overseas !

We're back! Got back yesterday morning; we'd been out until midnight on Tuesday with a bunch of natives (great bunch of people, the Icelanders) and had to get up at 3:30 for our flight, so most of yesterday was (for me) a bit of a daze. I've got my pics up on my site- there are three (!) galleries: one colour, one black and white (with a theme) and a sequence of images from Strokkur, the fantastic geyser which spouts every five minutes or so.

I don't expect to see his images for a week or more. He's a slow bugger at this sort of thing...

A week? That's a bit optimistic.

Well I knew he'd have zero grounds to argue it with me if I said a week. It is a lower threshold, mind! (8-p)

Cheeky pair! 'lo childs. As Nick announced above, we're back. I'm a little slower at going through my images than Nick is, but I'm very nearly done. Before I exhibit any of them I want to have the right words to accompany them. Nick's been to Iceland half-a-dozen times now, so for him there's no newness to it, for me, just sorting through the images brought back tons of memories and I hadn't even been back two days. As I said on my Fb page "The word 'awesome' was created to describe Iceland.". I already want to go back there. Next time I'm hoping for a two-week trip travelling all around the island. Mark

It doesn't mean it can't be applied to other things, Edd. Mark

It turns out that a week was just about right. I've just published my account of the trip ( see here). It's a combination of words and images spanning the whole trip, so it's quite a lengthy post. Hope you enjoy. Mark
