And then a 5D would have to make it's way to Northern Ireland.

Back to the OP question - there are rumours of course, you just have to look at the photography forums to see that. Looking at the cycle of new models, I can see the time is right for a 5D3 but it's a bit early yet for the other two.

Heather - I've just asked my contact for a quote on the 7D. I'll let you know.

If Nikon sticks to it's release schedule and naming conventions from previous models, the D3xs will be released towards the end of this year.
There's also plenty of rumours doing the rounds that Nikon is about to release the world's first mirrorless professional digital camera.
I'm not really one for putting much stock against rumours so I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I really dont want to see a D700 replacement. I'd have to cry at my inability to have one. Or sell my mother to fund it.

Thanks, Al!

I remembered last night I can also claim the VAT back, so that makes the actual cost quite a bit below the magic four digits. I have a birthday coming up, too...

Decisions, decisions.

Nah you wouldn't. Just be happy with what you have and smile and move along. (8+)

Mark stop being sensible. I shall take bobbdobbs advice. :D

In all seriousness though it's not that I cant do anything with what I have now but the current body hunts for focus way more than I'd like (it became quite frustrating taking photos of Emily indoors tbh) and doesnt get near the Nikons for ISO performance. Plus full frame is a big want of mine.

Okay, I'm being pushy! Any news, Al?

The prices for the body only 7D are dropping like a stone. As I type, best price is just under £1030. It's getting there.

Well, what's the word now (this is not a cue for anyone to post a clip of Peter Griffin!)?
