jonbwfc I was behind her in a queue today - but I wouldn't describe it as 'bushy'.

With the fire at a studio in Hollywood they show the set of an air crash from WOTW. However is the blue screen behind from the Truman show, or just a blue screen?

Great photos.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Brilliant link fella. I wouldnt normally admit to such things but photo 39 of the 2009 made me cry a little bit. A mixture of being soft in my old age and being a daddy.

It was photo 25 in that set that upset me.

The whole series, '08 and '09 generated a bit of a shrug here.
Am I hugely desensitised?

I get that way sometimes, it's usually just boredom/over-exposure to such things IME. Depends on your mood I guess :|

Thinking back, what got me were the descriptions that went with the pics...

I think that's the thing - all of those pics are good in their own right, we rely on the description for context. Which is, as ever, the luxury of the person serving us the images. My old photography lecturer took a shot of a punk helping an old lady up off the ground at a rally in the 80s. Of course, by the time it was in the paper, it was 'Brutish thug knocks woman to floor at rally'.
The picture of the bullets. By itself, I have to say it's not very interesting.

I think that's what touched me about the kid reaching out to her dead soldier-dad. It was touching without any words.
