BBC clicky

As it's photo related I thought I would post it here.

So if they find the camera, would the film still be useable? No doubt the speed of the film from that era would help, but what about increased exposure to cosmic rays at that altitude?

Film exposure is a chemical process after all and generally speaking most chemical processes slow down as you reduce the temperature. If the camera was literally 'frozen', it's possible the film could survive much longer than it would in more 'sea level' conditions. I don't know about 90 years even so though.

You'd assume they've asked some experts the question though. If there was no chance of the film still being intact, they wouldn't bother to go searching for it, surely?
