Yes but the only think that really would benefit the iPad is tethering to an iPhone. There could be more but not from where I am sitting.

Mm.. I'm a bit sceptical. His PS3 'hack' is in fact nothing of the sort, or at least nowhere near what he claimed it was. Although the iPad will run the same OS as the iPhone fundamentally, there's always the possibility the different architecture may cause existing jailbreak mechanisms to fail. He certainly seems to be more interested in self-publicity than scientific rigour.
