I reckon there will be a lot of people out there who will say hell to that. I'm not sure of the make-up of Sheba compared to other brands but it is certainly marketed as higher quality (read class) and charged for as such. In many cases pets are also thought of as one of the family, and fed accordingly.

I think that many treat their pets as full members of the family. Our last dog would get turkey and all the vegetables at Christmas time. Even Christmas pudding as well. In fact one friend used to treat him so well with steaks and Baileys that we regular got calls from them that he was there. Only after he had his snack.

As for second rate, people will feed their pets what they know the animals will like, and that they can afford. Dogs are great in that respect that there are no such things as leftovers. The dogs get some extra variety as well. :D
