I post this here cos it's quite a claim ;)

I wonder if the PC version will require getting into severe debt to be able to run it

Apparently part of the Crysis issue was poor coding, especially in DX10. Let's hope they're using more efficient code that will run on most hardware.

I somehow doubt it. It's a multi-format release and clearly console focussed.

I'd nearly put money on it that it'll need to be patched silly - that seems to be the trend these days :(

And it will require constant internet access in order to play.

EA can shove it. Sideways.

If you're willing to spend £300+ on a new graphics card and possible a bit more on a new motherboard and processor.
The constant internet access thing is immensely irritating but is on the rise. IIRC Ubisoft released something recently with similar requirements and C&C 4 also needs constant internet to play, even single player. Even one of the high up at EA doesn't like it.

Which is why I'm saying "goodbye" to PC gaming. I refuse to support such a horrible system that penalises consumers.

That would be fun at our house... The girls have their internet connection restricted to a couple of hours a day. Can you imagine the uproar if they were gamers and their IP was blocked from accessing the internet during the evening?
