Jacquie Aubry, 59, from Chandlers Ford, Hants, could not walk or talk after sustaining life-threatening head injuries when her 4x4 collided with a tree outside Bucharest in December last year.
Mother-of-two Mrs Aubry, who runs a farm in the East European country with husband Lewis, 74, listened to a radio interview she gave before the crash to help her learn to speak again.
But after rediscovering her speech, Mrs Aubry, who was born and raised in Dorset, has developed a Romanian twang to her voice.
