Brown is at it as well.

Quote:
He warned: "A hung parliament may seem attractive to some but it may give disproportionate power to a small party holding the balance of power and bring its own danger. Important legislation, for example on fighting terrorism which the Lib Dems are likely to oppose, would be difficult to get through."

Important legislation? Go **** yourself Gordon. :x

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Problem is for the two big parties is that they will start to sound alike and put the voters off, or turn them to Liberal supporters. If they attack the Liberals and not the other big party voters will wonder why?

In a bizarre way GB and DC must be a bit jealous that Clegg's kids are stuck in Spain with their Grandma.

Not nice for Clegg but he'll be able to sympathise with those thousands stranded abroad at the moment...

Current thinking is if the Lib-Dem upsurge converts to votes, we'll still have Labour in power. People will be so annoyed by the unfairness of the "first past the post" system, there could be a national sense of being mildly peeved. Not sure if we'll see outright dissent and revolution, but we can hope.

Not necessarily. The smaller parties will hold the balance of power, and maybe a coalition of the rest will kick Gordon out. It all depends on the final numbers. Also the Liberal will probably be willing to vote with the Tories to show that they are not an automatic partner for Labour.

I'm trying to think of anything they agree on, I can't see that happening.

If there isn't a Tory majority then there will no doubt be a minority Labour Government with another election, what is it, 6 months or so later? Either that or the most obvious coalition would be Labour/LibDem and the LibDems could quite easily say that will only happen if Labour change their leader. I doubt many in Labour would object to that.

I think they're the three most likely outcomes TBH. Tories are just scaremongering because they're under threat.

Civil liberties. Labour do not agree on that.

That has been past history, but it does not have to be repeated. I can see one vote against Labour changing leader. Gordon. If Labour go into a second election with Gordon I can see them losing more seats. So for Labour unless they can get a full first term, then Gordon is on notice.

They look like losing an easy election. That is why they are worried.

Mkay.

However, there's no way they'd align with the Tories while the Tories are in cahoots with their unsavoury friends in the EU.

Yes but if the Tories attack the Liberals over their policy towards Europe they will be hit back hard with their far right alliance in Europe.
