Hmm, my thoughts are that if we hadn't stuck our noses into Iraq and Afghanistan following the US lead, 7/7 may well never have occurred.

That would be the key point.

+1. Way too logical for our politicians to understand.

Very avoidable since we knew they were going to happen.

At the time Israel News reported that the Army Radio had reports Scotland Yard had intelligence warnings of the attacks and prior to them knowing the Israeli Embassy in London was contacted.

Very coincidental, if untrue, that the Israel Finance Minister remained in his London Hotel rather than attend his planned economic summit at another hotel opposite Liverpool Street train station where an explosion occurred.

News and sites reporting this have since, miracuolously, disappeared from the web. What a coincidence.

I still think it would have happened. We still let hate monger preachers into the country who still up hatred in young Muslims. If we stopped these radicalisers spreading their message there'd be a much lower internal thread.

If we'd had full body scanners in the airports this would never have happened.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Even ex Qinetiq staff say that the scanners they produce wouldn't detect the weapons that terrorists currently use. This was backed up by some study in Germany IIRC.

They're more for show than anything else.

Yes we should stop extremist teachings, in all forms and in all religions, but we should not also fuel attraction of those teachings by bombing the crap out of civilians in their thousands.

Sounds about right. Afghanistan you could maybe argue for, but Iraq was a stupid pointless idea.

But the 7/7 attacks were aimed at the Tube and buses. So what about body scanners on buses. Would you like it if a bus driver could see you naked via a body scanner before you got on? ;)

I was being sarcastic. My thoughts about body scanners are available to read in other threads. :P

Yes but I have amnesia and cannot remember what I did yesterday let alone everyones position on so many topics in these threads. It was missing the sarcasm hint /s. Hence I was confused.

My excuse is that my opinion on a topic can change from minute to minute and so I apply that ideology to everyone else. :D

I have vicarious amnesia, I also can't remember what you did yesterday.
