Read more: http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/bl ... z0oJht8dRvPfft. I'm the only PS3 user out of 19 people I know that owns a single BR - and that's cos it was TDK and cheap And they sure as fcuk aren't using Sony's HD downloads either

I think I have documented a time lag with the picture if I use the Dolby 5.1 option on the sound output from my PS3 to my amp. Sound fails to sync with the picture. I have no way to alter the delay.
I will eventually be looking for a bluray player which will sync sound and picture with a fuller sound output. I’m not paying for Sony downloads either - I’d rather have discs.

I know this sounds silly, but when did you last Google the problem? I've found going back a few weeks later often gives new info. Or, just try a couple of different phrasing methods to when you got frustrated that first time

Given that a player such as a BDP-S360 for £100 offers better BD performance than the PS3 it suprises me its still the main reason for owning one.

For me the only reason would be getting the games, with the BD features as a bonus, but a big bonus.

I bought the PS3 because of the Xbox issues with the RROD. Although the PS3 now has issues, these aren't as apparent or common as on the Xbox. Had the Xbox not had issues, would have definitely gone for them and left the PS3 on the shelf.
TBH though, the only reason I bought the PS3 was because my deal to buy a £3000 gaming laptop fell through.

I don't own any blu-rays but then I don't have a HD TV yet so there's not really any point I guess.

I personally don't think you're missing much in that sense

I am in the same boat, but would still not that bothered even once I have an HD TV.
