http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8699108.stmWe should tell the paedo-harbourer to sling his fcuking hook... As should Joe Catholic really; are we to believe the church can't fund this trip? Times must be tough indeed. Maybe it's down to those payouts to the sex abuse victims, coupled with the lawyers fees...

Well they could put the collection plate out at the open air masses. That should raise some of it. They could save some money and put him up at Premier Inn, and limit his entourage to three paedophiles. First port of call is to get him to sign the sex offenders register when he arrives.

Surely just pawning off a few small trinkets they have lying around in the Vatican would be enough to cover it....

They should pay for all of it. We have to pay for a lot of it as he's "head of state". That's a technically. Normally we wouldn't pay for religious members so why should we pay for him?

Who invited him anyway? It certainly wasn't me.

I believe our head of state sent the invitation.
That's why a cash-starved, near-bankrupt secular country, with a state religion notionally based on a split from the Roman Church half a millennium ago, has to pay for a visit by a bloke wearing a frock.

And technically she is the head of the Church of England.
