It's comical how under American law anyone can worship anything they like (hence all the alien cults) yet the moment a religion anything other than Christian tries to do anything, they get slapped down.

There was some debate during their election as to whether being black or female would be an automatic bar to becoming president. No, but not being Christian is! Can you ever see the southern states voting for an Atheist or a Muslin? Neither can I.

For as long as I can remember, I've always viewed racism in America as a difference in skin colour. Blacks versus white (and more recently, Hispanics), often Chirstian against Christian. This is the first time I've really seen it as the same sort of racism we get over here. Racism based on different religions and cultures that go with them.

It'll be nice when we can move beyond these beliefs.

It'll never happen in our life time. In fact I doubt it'll happen in ten of our lifetimes. Regretably, dogma is here to stay.

They say it will be two blocks away. How far is that in proper measurements?

If you are trying to figure it out in terms of miles....20 city blocks make one mile.

So an average block would be 1/20th of a mile.

That is for blocks that run north/south.

The avenues are longer - there are four blocks in-between two avenues.

Hope that makes sense!

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.
