 | | | | Quote: What, you thought that the fact that just because the developer of the world's most famous vaporware game, Duke Nukem Forever, had gone out of business that the game might really never come out? Yeah, well, after the company shut down, there was the little matter of a lawsuit with Take Two over the game. Michael Scott points us to the news that Take Two and 3d Realms have now settled their legal fight over the game, meaning that this "could pave the way to the release of the game."
Ah, but there's a caveat. You see, the game "now reportedly needs to be completed." Ah, right. Same thing we've been hearing for 13 years now. So, I think we can go back to considering the game permanent vaporware. | | | | |

Well I'd download the free demo if they ever release it.
DN3D was the first 3D game I ever got into. Even in 16 colours x 320 x 256 it was the best thing I'd ever played. I remember being amazed that it remembered the scenery damage, until you fired more than about 100 bullets that is. I still think he's the coolest dude ever to take a dump in an alien's neck hole, and I always think of him when I read "you shouldn't be here".

DN3D was also the first 3D game I ever played.
I remember getting really far along in the story and even to a part where the buildings that you walk around in near the beginning (where the shop was) had been blown up and you could now walk over the rubble (or something).

It took me ages to finish it. I remember a real sinking feeling when I realised there wasn't another level After a couple of years, I think I could finish the entire thing in my lunch break on "bring it on" or whatever the level was called. I really need to get DOS box installed because I'm all nostalgic now
