Sex discrimination cannot be excused just because of religious beliefs. If so they should loose their charity status.

Need some help opening that can of worms you have there? You really think they're going to, for example, go after Mosques that only allow women into a side-room? IIRC there isn't a religion in the world that doesn't have some level of sexual discrimination in it's tenants, because most of those tenants were founded in much less enlightened times. You either tolerate religions as they are (assuming they aren't doing anything active harmful to anyone) or you pretty much have to get rid of all of them. Except maybe Taoism, that doesn't seem to really care you the hell you are.

Well we are practically a secular country whether people admit it or not. As such if a religion practices sex discrimination it should not get the tax benefit of being a religion. I am not worried about the impact on the religions. They need to be brought up to date even if it is from the 13th century for some.
