In some places even buildings are "copyright". The example that springs to mind is the Atomium in Brussels. I think they've even been known to prosecute people for looking at it and remembering what it looks like a little too clearly, despite the fact that it's clearly visible for miles around.

Haha now that's stupid - if something is on view in a public area then how can you try and claim that people can't see/photograph it?
In the football example-if people get in a helicopter and photograph the game from above then that seems like fair game to me, or from a balcony overlooking the stadium etc
