There's some supposition and the solutions he proposes are a bit 'cod' but the ideas of market saturation he's basing it on are well understood and the stats he uses to base his analysis on seem reasonable. The same will undoubtedly happen to Apple at some point, unless they can keep bringing out new product lines, which even they will surely find hard to do indefinitely. The 'internal competition' in the Android market will possibly be a key advantage it has in the long run - users can migrate between providers and handset manufacturers but still be using Android phones, a flexibility Apple and RIM can't match.
