A shocking scene occurred in Tripoli on Saturday when a gun was pointed at Sky News after a woman tried to tell foreign journalists about being raped and tortured by Libyan officials.

OK, the tone of the article and video are a little theatrical, but you certainly get the gist

There is clearly a lot of intimidation happening in the western parts of Libya, in an attempt to maintain control. There has been a lot of propaganda as well. I suspect that as the rebels close in on Tripoli that this will get worse until they simply disappear to avoid capture.

Lol, like the State TV showing video of the cuts demostrations and saying it was the British Public protesting about attacking Gadaffi?

You have to hand it to them, nice work on the propaganda front there.

Fox news at it again? ;)

I was thinking more along the lines of that it was islamists that were in charge of the rebellion in Benghazi.

Oh that old AQ jobby. Popular Democratic movements are doing for the people of Libya, Yemen, Egypt, Syria and so on what AQ could never do, yet promised.

Yes it is amazing how in effective AQ have been all over the middle east. Even their stronghold of Saudi Arabia is unlikely to fall to their benefit. If Saudi Arabia does revolt it will not be because of AQ. Though it has been bandied out by our government for various changes to security procedures.
