The odd thing is that there is confusion over whether the name Lotus can be used as it’s owned by cheapo-car builder Proton. Some Protons even carried the Lotus badge.

As an aside: I have been strictly forbidden from buying a Caterham after my other half saw one when we went to Caterham once.

I would love to build a 7 replica. Not a Caterham though as there are others out there with styles I prefer.

I'd like to build a kit car too, but time, skills and space are lacking in large quantities here, so it's not going to happen.
