http://www.macuser.co.uk/news/253876/ Aside from the name, this sounds quite cool, though personally I can't ever envisage myself using it. Mark

Agreed. I may use it at some point, but not going by the current description.

Nice to know they're Firefly fans at Google.

Boah! That screen shot is really confusing and poorly laid out! Way too much "noise".

I think that looks rather nice.
It's taken an idea not unlike a forum, but laid it out in the standard email client format that many people are used to these days. I can't see that it achieves anything a normal collaborative forum couldn't, but the layout is easier to follow because of the icons by each post and the preview panel. It suits modern wide-screen monitors, and has a business-like functional efficiency to it.
Note, we could have "gadgets" a plenty on here - but they're always disabled for security reasons.

It doesn't look like any e-mail client I've ever used! And I think it is the array of ghastly avatars that make it look so bad. I think the way that Microsoft and others have done collaborative work are much better... You can concentrate on the document and any comments appear unobtrusively in bubbles. Maybe Google should ask their friends at Apple for some advice on how to do it properly...

It has some nice features, but the interface is really dreadful.
