Without a single manufacturer of the console like now it will end It will end up with cheap consoles being manufactured by lots of generic builders like DVD players now and the prices of the players plummeting depending on license fees. Then there will probably be more effort to recoup the list income through higher licenses on the games. Though they will gain economies of scale during distribution. Though will this happen when downloads might take over?
