I agree, but if Apple buying power gives it the ability to have the same margins then that should make it more viable.
I would imagine it would be the same number as for the iPod Classic maybe slightly more. Not sure if that is enough to make it a viable market.
Yes but there are many who have no idea what a drobo mini is or even know about it to use that instead. I think that for most people the ease of using the iPod as a backup is worth it for many.
Yes but a large capacity iPod does not really need changing that often. Just replace the Flash memory and sell it as higher capacity model. No need for any fanfare. Possibly making it part of the iPod Touch family might also keep it fresh. It could be much more interesting with a large storage and a screen. Perfect for taking a number of films on holiday.
