I'm guessing there will be a half-assed Nintendo HDD, cos that storage space is laughable. Especially if you're planning on actually using it as a DVR :?

Apparently the tablet controller costs around £104

Was a bit surprised at Japan getting it later...

I have to say though, it's got the best launch games ever by default ;)

Well, can't say many of them interest me personally to be honest. I've never been a big Mario fan though so..

Bayonetta 2 being exclusive is interesting. It's not a 'platform seller' by the standard definition - the first game sold quite poorly at launch despite a big marketing spend and then picked up sales over time. I'm not sure it's going to attract many of the Wii crowd though.

I was thinking more along the lines of rehashing recent hits and ports and calling them launch games, but still, who the fudge will buy them? :?

I was wondering was B2 a show of intent for the hardcore as opposed to the mainstream, for once. Made me wonder how the original did in Asia. I'm also thinking the developers might have gained short-term, but possibly killed the brand long-run. Unless this was it's last roll anyway...

Has the U got a funky HDMI cable? It's just there's one in the box, which is odd these days...

AFAIK you can plug in any old mass storage device (USB stick, external hard drive, SD card reader etc) and the console will allow you to save things to it. From the Hexus launch article:

Quote:
Nintendo also took the opportunity to explain its reasoning for its limited 8 and 32GB of internal flash storage - that with the price of such components falling frequently, it didn't wish for flash memory to play a significant role in the console's pricing. In exchange, Nintendo will be allowing unlimited USB storage expansion, confirming that even 3TB hard-disks would be supported.

Lets see it might be better than reported. Though I suspect that Nintendo will need to refresh their console sooner than Sony or Microsoft.
