There is so much we do not know. He may have been very confused and so very defensive. Also if the old man had a pacemaker the taser would have killed him. The fact that the police decided a taser was appropriate for an 95 year old is also very disturbing. Then to use bean bags.

My grandad's a very spirited 94 and if he was swinging a knife I wouldn't blame any cop that used a taser on him :lol:

Yes but why not negotiate with him. I am wondering why the man was being sent to the hospital in the first place. Don't forget that this is how we will be treated one day.

I accept that, but there are alternatives to simply tasering an old man. I have taken on someone with a knife and no need for a taser. I did it with a wooden spoon. 8-)
