Unless the directors sold any shares I would doubt that they would have much of a case. Microsoft were talking up sales through out so would it be reasonable to disclose to shareholders that sales were dismal while they were trying to push it on punters? It also would raise the prospect of any company being sued if there are any disappointing sales. That is the nature of buying shares.
