Amanda Hutton jailed for Hamzah Khan killing

I'm sure you've all heard about this story so I won't go in to details but I think she should've got life not just 15 years.

There's a lot going on here beyond the initial knee-jerk about the poor child that died from neglect.

The thing that really gets me about this is how did a body lie in an occupied house without anyone nearby smelling something. If the house was heated then I would have expected the body to start to decompose rather than mummify. All in all as terribly sad and disturbing case.

Exactly. I am not going to be as harsh as the Daily Mail would be because we simply do not know enough to be sure. She was clearly not coping, so something else failed as well.
