I wonder if it's a protest cancellation similar to the Brazilian one with Boeing? We, as a country, often get lumped in with the USA and their questionable foreign policy, official or otherwise.

Partly I suspect so. Although there are rumours they're waiting to see what the F-35 actually ends up like before signing any contract.


It's slightly embarrassing for David Cameron, who personally lobbied the Saudi royal family in favour of the bid.

I didnt know the saudis were buying for the uae now?

It might be, but I doubt that is a big factor. They are big US allies so might be waiting for a deal from the US.
