The question I have is: will this encourage sexuality selection in the way some parents choose their babies gender? If the future changes, would a new world order force the abortion of gay babies?
It raises more questions than answers.

I doubt it to be honest. While the researchers seem to have found a causal link between a gene segment and sexuality, it only has an influence rather than complete control. What this does do however (especially with what we know about the effects of uterine hormones), is give the religious nutters a serious problem. Since ... well, forever really, the culture within the various mainstream Churches has been that homosexuality is purely due to choice - i.e. that it is a wilful perversion. Now, suddenly, a few of the various scriptures that are used to divide out homosexuals on the basis of the idea of choice may not be applicable anymore. And if you thought the issue of women priests was divisive, just watch this one.

Since you get the X Chromosome from your mother, yes she did make you gay!

Given the catholic church has the doctrine of Original Sin - i.e. that you can be guilty of committing a transgression despite the fact you haven't been born yet - I think figuring out a logical slipknot to get out of this would be well within their capabilities.

Original sin was rebuffed by the pope a few years ago to stop the idea that unchristened babies who passed away went to limbo instead of heaven.

Except that's not Original Sin. Original Sin is the state, absent of perfection and holiness, into which all humans are born by virtue of being human. The word 'Sin' does not necessarily denote a sinful act - it more properly denotes the state of sinfulness from which sinful acts arise.

With my VERY limited Knowledge I thought Origonal Sin was the Sin of Adam and Eve (so getting us all thrown out of the Garden of Eden) and you "had" to join the Chruch so wash away that sin and then stay with them to wash away any other sins (during your life) and so get into Heaven
