They will never get to the truth. There will be the stain on some generals reputation for covering it up, so it will remain covered up. The army might eventually be held liable for failing in their duty of care towards her but no one person will be ever held accountable.

Why? I was only talking about the case itself and the time it's gonna take. Though now that you mention it I rule out nothing with the MoD, and especially not stupidity or intent.

It could be anything and until it is investigated properly her family will never know. Incompetence is certainly a very definite possibility in terms of how the MOD have dealt with this. Then sometimes the coverup is worse than the actual even they are covering up.
