I hate sorting out my ISA... Though annuities have long been a sick joke.

So all those who think that as soon as I hit 65 and get my hands on my pension that I will throw a lifetime of financial prudence and caution to the wind and splurge it all on fast cars and faster women

If I was someone who was financially reckless then I would not be paying intro a pension – I would have opted out off my various companies schemes so that I could get ahn extra few % salary

I knew a few people when I first started working who said I was foolish to join the Co scheme as soon as I could as it meant a loss of 5% of salary. Of course now I am sitting on nearly 30 years contributions into a final salary scheme while I know of one of them who has nothing and will be relying on the state

And anyway its my money – I have saved it and I should be allowed to decide how I spend it

To be honest, I hadn't even considered the possibility, but now they mention it .

I've driven lamborghinis. If you can even get in one at 65 (more likely to be 67 or 70 for us lot, let's be honest) you're doing a darned sight better than most of us will.
