It's a fairly selective picture you have to admit. OK, so they'll be £5BN better off a year in 15 years. What about before that apparently arbitrary point? if they spend the first 14 years losing billions every year, it'll take them an entire generation just to catch up to evens. Are they willing to sacrifice the prosperity of an entire generation for independence? And is the generation that'll be sacrificed getting any say?

The SNP have a vested interest in making everything look like it'll be all rosey. The No campaing have a vested interest in making it look like the whole endevour with result in destitution. I'm sure the truth would lie somewhere inbetween.
If someone can convince me that it's possible to realistically project the economy of a theroretical (or real) state 15 years into the future then I'll have whatever they're drinking/snorting.

I've always wondered what the SNP's plans are financially for the 2030's and beyond when the oil industry tax revenues have died a death.

It could be that public opinion in Scotland would swing that way. I'm betting the English wouldn't let them have the same Barnet formula that they have now though.

I rather think the prevailing English opinion might be neatly summarised by 'Haha. No.' The way the SNP have conducted their campaign is pretty much burning bridges as they cross them.
