Am I fat? Yes!
Am I disabled? No!

Don't tar me with your labels!

Shouldn't disability be defined as something that cannot easily be improved to allow people to have a normal life?

A lot of fat people could easily lose wight...... By not eating burgers, chips, takeaways etc and doing more exercise.
I include my self in that list. If I really really wanted to, I could.

'Cannot easily be improved' is a tough one. For a lot of people their weight and issues with food cannot easily be improved. I'm not sure that's a good definition of a disability. I don't believe that being overweight is a disability as such, but being very overweight can have all sorts of effects on the body which might qualify.

Isn't classifying it as a disability a licence for people to gorge themselves?
If it is possible to section anorexics to help them get better, surely the same thing should be possible for fat people? :?
