If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... Mosul.htmlWhy wasn't his group shut down or at least hobbled before now? The intelligence must have been hanging out of it - they're literally on a crusade!

Extremist regimes have a fairly consistent record of executing people like that once things get a bit tough, so I wouldn't expect queues at the border to be honest. Jon

They were. Al Al Qaida in Iraq, as they were previously known, were quite effectively dealt with. The American administration in Iraq did a deal with local Sunni clans to guarantee them a share of oil revenues and a reasonable level of political representation in the Iraqi parliament. In that region this means the ability to create a certain number of government jobs to be handed out to your friends, but it also prevents a government of not-your-friends from giving all your jobs to their friends, and taxing the fck out of yours, putting them in jail and so on. In return, the Sunni militias clamped down on Al Qaida and the civil war that had been brewing was nipped in the bud. Two major things changed that. Firstly, in Syria we stood by and did nothing while another dictator fought against secular enemies. He reasoned that we would keep doing nothing if his enemies were more jihadi in than this. So he released the thousands of jihadists who were clogging up his jails. Now those guys are fighting for ISIS in both Syria and Iraq, and we are guaranteed to do nothing. And second, the Shiite government who run Iraq decided they didn't need to have a deal with the Sunni. They tried to arrest the vice president (Sunni - now in exile), they took away all the government jobs, they weakened all the Sunni power brokers who controlled those jobs, and then they started killing Sunni protesters http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB1 ... 1612436322So who is going to crack down on them for us now?
