EWETel has managed to get the equivalent of Ofcom to agree that new development areas (housing and business estates) are only classified as acceptably connected, when the estate can receive a minimum of 30mbps.

That means the telephone company responsible for writing up the estate (or rewiring an existing area) cannot get the job signed off of the premises in the estate don't achieve the 30mbps minimum. Until now the minimum was 1mbps.

is that collectively (i.e. to the nearest 'hub') or to each individual property?
