Yeah, most people will think great, another perv taken off the streets.
But they say in their terms of service that they don't do this, they only assess the contents of incoming mails for advertising purposes. As that is now proven to be a big fat lie, what else are they doing with out data?
Makes me glad I only use Gmail as a spam address for Google - my inbox usually sees a weekly YouTube email and my monthly activity report from Google, that's it.

Legally the images would be held on their servers. They have a right to ensure that material isn't illegal and in my opinion, a duty to report such illegality.
