What is the obsession with taking nude photos these days? Especially when someone else is incredibly likely to view them at some point.

Not so sure on the snapchat thing, because I know nothing about snapchat, but on the wider issue of the celebrity icloud breach and the bit about "someone else is incredibly likely to view them" - People doubtless get up to all kinds of stuff in the privacy of their own homes, and the why oh why bit about why those celebs were taking the photos in the first place is trademark dailyfail bollocks. Their biggest mistake was to expect that a password protected backup system run by a blue chip company would be reasonably secure.

It's not like the old voicemail access that defaulted to 0000 as a password, and even the fcukwits at the News of the World could guess it - you have to set a password.

I'm not even just talking about the celebrities (I've seen pictures of friends unintentionally on their part  ), and everybody has their right to privacy even if the world's governments are clearly against it, but it's just a bad idea in general these days IMO. You break up with a partner badly, you leave your phone into the shop... And the second it's online via whatever method you can pretty much forget about it ever being 'erased'.

People are stupid. There are many intelligent individuals, but the herd itself is stupid...

To be fair to Snapchat, it doesn't look like they could have done much. If, as they say, their servers have not been breached and the photos are being scraped from third party apps and sites which store the images, then the users do only have themselves to blame - or their so called friends which have been storing the images they have been receiving.

If it is the third parties that have been breached, then Snapchat really can't do more than warn their users not to use these services and try and get the services taken down.

I wonder does it cover company breaches and if they should be held accountable.
