Indeed - the vote was a victory for humanity in the very truest sense of the phrase. It was a defeat for certain of the organised religions and it's not surprising they'd be upset about it but they really shouldn't be taking on the mantle of the whole of humanity for themselves.

Yes, gay marriage is an abomination, but buggering choir boys is perfectly acceptable.
