David Cameron has said he expects all his ministers to back any deal he makes with the European Union or leave the government.

Speaking at the G7 summit in Germany, he said everyone in government had signed up to his plans as set out in the Conservative manifesto.

It comes after US President Barack Obama said he was "looking forward" to the UK staying in the EU.

I expect it will be hard to commit to backing a deal if you don‘t know what it will be yet, especially if you are one of the 50 waverers who have formed some kind of group.

What could possibly go wrong in a party massively divided over Europe
This is going to be a grade 1 car crash (if it wasn't already).

Already, Downing Street is saying, “well, no, he didn’t say that”.
