There will always be piracy, and all you're doing is drawing it to wider attention. If it wasn't for piracy an awful lot of your output would be next to invisible. Take Terminator Genisys; clearly not the hit they really needed. People probably didn't go to see it at the cinema in any great numbers because even the
trailers looked ropey. But a few people recently have told me they've streamed it. They've been telling other people no doubt, doing a better job of promotion than the studio often bothers to do.
Oh, and if someone's watching your film on a phone, they were never gonna bother watching it at the cinema.
