OK, mental, but she's right asking what the hell he was doing on an estate, clearly unsupervised. As he apparently was for decades. That's countless lives ruined for no reason at all.

According to the radio, he'd been living a normal life for about 30 years then (it sounded like) he relapsed recently. Also the radio made a very strong hint that the woman in question had been a victim of abuse in her childhood, although they couldn't actually say so.
