There are condom and cigarette vending machines all over the place in Germany. The old barn on the other side of the road where I live (small, quiet road, maybe half a dozen cars an hour) had sweet and toy vending machines on it.
There have been a spate of people blowing up ATMs over here, they go into the banks and fill the machines up with gas and then set light to it, blowing out the casing, they then grab the money and run. This has led to increased surveillance and patrols, so I'm guessing they are moving to (ahem) softer targets.
