It's a free country (well, allegedly anyway).

We're so used to angry Christians that we can't believe the church might do something nice. That's pretty sad.

If you believe prayer works - it's a good thing.
if you don't believe prayer works - it's utterly irrelevant.

Either way, getting angry about it is stupid. But it seems to me these days a large chunk of the internet exists entirely to get angry about things.
