UKIP's Steven Woolfe in hospital 'after altercation'

UKIP leadership hopeful Steven Woolfe was taken to hospital following an altercation at a meeting of party MEPs, interim leader Nigel Farage has said.

In a statement he said Mr Woolfe had "subsequently collapsed" and his "condition is serious".

Strange this. They got the thing they always campaigned for and since then things have been going pretty crappily for them. This obviously wasn't predictable but Woolfe is possibly the most 'credible' candidate for leadership they have. If he's out of action for a period - and some of the stories I've seen suggest he might be - they may well just implode. Or get Nigel back, which would be pretty laughable franky.
