Some fans of Toblerone's distinctive triangular chocolate chunks are feeling down in the mouth after the look of two bars sold in the UK was changed.

Mondelez International, the company behind the product, has increased the gap between the peaks to reduce the weight of what were 400g and 170g bars.

I saw this. What a silly shape. They should have just made the bars shorter. I love Toblerone (despite the fact I eat it at most twice a year), especially the Fruit & Nut version. Going to buy a bar or two for the 400g versions if they're still available.

Unless the shops you try happen to have old stock it'll be the 360g bars with the stupid gaps.

My understanding is they haven't yet changed the bars or are currently doing so.

Loved this comment though:

"I can remember curly wurleys being over 1meter long,"
"You're eating too much fibre."

The revised shape bars have been on sale in the local Tesco here for weeks.

Sounds like they dropped the "r" as well, to save on printing costs?
