Not exactly lifting the veil on the process... A badly worded headline there!

It tells you how many people work on the process, but the stats don't add up, 95% are accepted within 2 weeks, but 20% are rejected... :?

It also doesn't mention anything about the process or what criteria are used to accept / reject apps...

It says that 95% of apps are approved within 2 weeks of being submitted.

20% of the submissions are not approved in their originally submitted form.

i.e. 20% of them have to be changed before they will be approved.

The two groups are not mutually exclusive. In fact, I would say that the 20% group is actually a sub group of the 95%.

But you are right, there is no real grit about what the actual approval process is. They only state one criteria for rejection (that the app takes over the core roles that the iPhone provides).
