I love my blu-ray movies, but my main reason for not getting a drive for my PC yet is...comfort! The sofa is a far better place to sit and watch a movie. I'll get one when there's a reliable way of ripping DRM free versions for PSP's, iphones and ipods.

But a 1080p rip would be wasted on such a small screen (& about 25GB)

Of course, but it seems silly to buy the blu-ray and the DVD just to rip a portable version of the DVD.
