With any luck, at least one of them will die in an accident

Can we harness the hot air coming from the protesters and use that to create energy?

This does not help the cause. they should be campaigning for energy efficiency over the construction of new power plants. The US has a law where by energy companies cannot get permission to build a new power station until they have exhausted all efforts to improve energy efficiency. That meant that they gave free low energy light bulbs and helped with home insulation. That is what is needed here, power companies doing it rather than relying on the government to do this alone.
